A Toast to Halifax Tradition
In 1754, William Steele opened the Steele’s Brewery in Halifax, paving the way for true and unique Halifax beer-making. Many more would follow in his footsteps, including: Alexander Keith and John Oland.
The Halifax Alehouse pays homage to those great pioneers who took pride in making quality beer, brewed to perfection with care. Their legacy reflects on the success and the sure future of local beer.
At the Halifax Alehouse, we have taken great measures and time to create an atmosphere that honours the past. From our historic building (built in 1893), to our distinctive uniforms, it is as though you go back in time and relive historic Halifax.
So, sit back and enjoy one of the many beers we have on tap , the fantastic food we create daily and the memorable experience you’re sure to have.
Cheers!
